"Sixteen years later America stands tall, has a clear eyed concentration on truth and justice, and is utterly focused on what's really important. Also, Train just freely covered Led Zeppelin II, so the terrorists didn't win."

Perhaps we should play Train's version to the terrorists so they would immediately surrender

I don't see the point of the Train version. A ho-hum version of a ho-hum original.

Me & Led Zeppelin: I think it's a generational thing that I was never impressed by them.

Um, dear anonymous, there IS no point to Train covering Zep2, and that was the key part of the point of Sal's joke, which I personally loved. :-) Thank you Sal, for everything about this blog.
No attack meant on anonymous, just clarification.

Though I must respectfully add that I know of no generation yet discovered that shouldn't be utterly impressed by Led Zeppelin. They remain as crucial and relevant today as they were 50 years ago.
I'd say "just my opinion" if that weren't borne out by the massive influence they've had and continue to have on music of many genres.
Train, it's safe to say, will not be so fortunate in the judgement of history.

I had to Google Train. Apparently they formed when the singer's Led Zeppelin cover band fell apart.
