Ride So High

From 1966, please give it up for The Motorcycle Abilene from Los Angeles, aka producer Bones Howe and singer/songwriter/lunatic Warren Zevon, with their one off smash "(You Used To) Ride So High,"

  1. Remarkable, yeah, baby!

I really love these quick, one-song posts - they're always killer diller!

  2. The song is pretty good fun. Zevon looks like a kid in the photo though he would have been 18-19 at the time.

  3. Excellent song, great arrangement, too! I never would have guessed it was Warren Zevon.

  4. Same vibe as "Outside Chance" done by The Turtles. Pretty good!

  6. This song is on Preludes, a collection of early demos found packed in a trunk after his death. I love this record. Stripped down versions of his best work. Some rarities.
