Until the file fiasco has either been corrected or suspended permanently, I am going to try this as a temporary fix.

The link will only be available until noon Tuesday, 12/9. So if you have any desire to listen to this week's selections, don't delay, download today!

And please, let me know how it worked out.

I'm A Greedy Man- James Brown

(There are no perfect JB albums. Even the best ones have a few speed bumps. But "There It Is" comes close with the title track, "Talkin' Loud & Saying Nothin'" and this killer.)

Dirty Harry: Theme- Lalo Schifrin

(One of my favorite soundtracks of the 70's, along with "The French Connection" and "The Taking Of Pelham 1-2-3.")

Clean Up Woman- Betty Wright
(I was in a short-lived band back in the early 90's and the guitarist played this opening lick to perfection.)

Michael Caine- Madness
(There is a new Madness collection out in various lengths and formats. It's called "Hit Parade" and it is pretty damn great. It reminded me of just how many fantastic singles the band had.)

The Bends- The Raisins
(This album was impossible to find in the 80's. My roommate had it and I would keep it in my room and basically lend it back to him. Produced by Adrian Belew and featuring the guys who were also the Psychodots and The Bears.)

How Do You Think It Feels- Lou Reed
(Listened to "Berlin" last week. I hated this record after loving "Transformer." I am older and wiser and older now, so it plays much differently than it did 50 years ago. It's a fave.)

Brenda Is Always In The Way- Sparks

(A bonus from the "Exotic Creatures" record and without question, one of my favorite Mael song titles.)

Thanks for fighting the good fight Sal!

I'm A Greedy Man is a really great one. You're right about his records, though. That's why the four CD Star Time is so wonderful. The 1986 In A Jungle Groove (a compilation of extended versions) is also good al,l the way through, and on vinyl.

Talkin Loud is my favorite JB song. And I've always liked Michael Caine by Madness.
