Age and high db's probably render me a questionable judge, but a comparison of the MMT EPs and the US l.p. is a pretty decisive win for the EPs, to my ears. Basically I think it comes down to which mix was given more focus at the time. Its seems to me that the shift in focus must have happened between MMT and Sgt. Pepper; however, then there's the issue of whether the English double EP format of MMT trumped the American LP sound for those songs.
