I was going to say this was Tom Petty's finest moment, but I'd thought better of it. I will say, it is MY favorite Tom Petty song, which I don't believe was ever performed live.
There's not much more I want to say about it, except it shoulda been a hit.
My favorite sleeper Tom Petty song has always been Something Big. I don't know what it is about Petty- I guess I just got him through osmosis in the 70's-80's. I couldn't be arsed to even download his stuff, in general, but if I start thinking about it, he's got at least a half-dozen immortal songs. Not bad for a boring-ass MOR god!
