Help, Before My Head Explodes

Well, it happened, as it occasionally happens. Without warning and with no explanation, I woke up singing this:

"Someone called a condition red...(da da da)...policemen in my head."

I can't stop singing it.

Google returns "Voices In My Head" by The Police, which it isn't. It also returns a Kendrick Lamarr song, which I couldn't sing if my life depended on it. I'm feeling like it might be Cheap Trick, but not too confident. It's definitely a rocker.

Any help would be appreciated because the sooner I find out what song this is, the sooner I can start living again.

Thanks in advance.

  3. Could it be from that hit single you've always wanted to write, but haven't finished yet?

  5. I found a site called "Song Search" and pasted in those lyrics.
    They found 7,860 songs.
At the top of the list sat...
    "Help Wanted" by Spongebob Squarepants
I didn't bother to scroll down.
I hope this can at least get you moving for a while...

  7. My buddy Derek posted this on his Facebook page, and Swingin' Neckbreakers/Prissteens drummer Joe Vincent identified the lyrics.

    Now, I can eat.

  11. You gave me great hope when you mentioned the Neckbreakers, as I hoped that meant they were still around; alas, a web search indicates not. One of my favorite bands, and nice enough to give me a free shirt when I saw 'em live and warned them ahead of the gig that the audience would probably "Do The Stand" since the band wasn't as well-known as they should've been in the small town they were playing in (they were opening for SCOTS).
I can see why you felt a Cheap Trick vibe when trying to recall the origins of this song; that specific line not only sounds like a CT passage musically, but the vocalist sounds pretty Zander.
