It's A Start

Produced by Jason Falkner, here is the second single from the upcoming Bird Streets album "The Escape Artist," due in October. The album is basically a two-man affair, with John Brodeur and Jason Falkner handling everything. I love this track and I look forward to more. I just hope this isn't yet one more excuse to delay Falkner's own record, which he promised this year.

Another great song (as was the first single released). I'm also looking forward to this one strongly.

Both of the Bird Streets albums are very good so I look forward to this new one. The posted song is alright (only one listen), but Stuart’s Coat is glorious.

My CDs are in the basement, safe from being played, and rifling through them recently found my Jason ones. Gotta get 'em out! He's an amazing talent.

I haven't pulled the trigger on the 3 O' Clock LP he's on; consensus is they were done by then.

Those of you that have not checked out The Pranks "Floobie', check out The Pranks "Floobie".

And those of you that can, get on Instagram, Facebook, and any other social media towards J. Falkner and ask him "Where is your fuckin' album!!.

They had me from the rabbits and shrooms. Looking forward to the full release. It's hard to put my finger on it but it's kinda like David Gillmour meets Matthew Sweet with less hooks and more wordy.

Do not hold your breath on a new Falkner album. Unless you're a seasoned freediver. I'm of two minds on the guy. His studio work is admirable. He checks a lot of my favorite boxes. But when all is said and done, he leaves me a bit cold. I'm never fullly satisfied. It's like getting it good only once when you wanted multiples. I've seen him live a few times in the 90's and early 2000's. Solo with electric guitar, solo with acoustic guitar, and with a band. The majority of shows I saw him do he was the opener or co-billed in small clubs. He didn't exactly command the stage or effectively connect with the audience. His forte is defnitely his studio work and, as brilliant as it is , it lac ks a certain undefinable spark. Mas feromonas en los huevos, por favor.

Just saw Falkner live playing guitar for Beck. Desperately hoping for his solo album as well!
