Happy Thanksgiving from Astoria, Queens, NYC!
If you are reading this, thanks for checking in.
I hope all of you wonderful people who have kept this place from going under for the last (almost) 17 years (!) have a stress-free, fun-filled, hyphenated word of your choice Thanksgiving holiday.
Safe travels.

Sal- I'm thankful that you've kept us informed and entertained for the past 17 years. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.

ReplyDeleteSal you are a light in the midst of confusion, uncertainty in these fucked up times
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a center of enlightenment musically for all these years Sal.
ReplyDeleteThe earliest Burning Wood mix I can find in my files is from 2010, so I've been an enthusiastic part of the party for at least 15 years, though I think it may have been even closer to the start in 2008.
You've introduced me (P. Hux, Ahmad Jamal, Wycliffe Gordon, Tim Christensen, many reggae and N'Awlins artists) or reacquainted me (Thin Lizzy, early Queen, early Kiss) with great artists or bands too many times to count.
We are both charter members of the eternal Todd Rundgren and XTC fan clubs ... to the delight of all wise and hale persons of good conscience, but to the chagrin of some.
Life is better with great music, conversation, and dialogue amongst the like-minded folks here. Thank you for all of that Sal ... here's to many years of wood burning!!
Sending Peace and Love to you, Sal…and all the BW family. Giving Big Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThankful for you and this effort, amongst many, many things. Music is amazing
ReplyDeleteHappy thanksgiving, all. Here’s something I discovered this week that fits the theme here nicely. Enjoy some fine picking from Doyle Dykes https://youtu.be/Qq9qOw6aGKw?si=uye9qCQrzyy02gAa
