As Andy Partridge continues to not release new music either with or without Colin and Dave, new songs do pop up occasionally, like this co-write with The Salt Collective, a French pop band led by Stephane Schuck. The album "A Brief History Of Blindness" also features Jason Falkner, Aimee Mann, and on this track, Chris Stamey and Pat Sansone.
I was hoping the album's sound would reflect the sound of the collaborators, but instead was surprised by its almost pop meets prog vibe. "You Swallowed Me Whole" does indeed sound like something XTC might have recorded, though.

Can for sure hear some XTC notes in this song. Hope springs eternal for a full project from dear Andy.
From the activity here, it seems like this track may be a contender for "speed bump" status.
With the Chris Stamey vocal it sounds more like dBs than XTC.
I like it! Also, Chris Stamey put out a new album in 2025 that I got on vinyl recently - it sounds good!
I'll take what I can get as well. A little taste will have to do for now.
I like this track, and definitely hear some of Andy’s influences! Curious to hear the rest of the album. I would also like to see Andy release some solo material, but I’m not holding my breath. . Thanks
A Wiki search revealed that Schuck had an earlier (2019) collaborative effort under the 'Salt' moniker with Anton Barbeau and Ken Stringfellow.

Thanks for this! My favorite from that album so far (only listened to half, will get to the rest later) is Waiting for the End of Time, with Jason Falkner. It was co-penned by Andy. Love the chord progressions, and the great drum part.

That is a great track. It sounds more like Jason than Andy. Didn't know Andy co-wrote it.
