  1. And speaking of that Roger McGuinn Tom Petty cover -- I actually saw McGuinn and band with Petty and the Heartbreakers opening for them at the Bottom Line. I was a huge fan of both, and you could have knocked me over with a feather when each band did "American Girl" in their respective set. McGuinn's sounded kind of lame by comparison back to back like that, I should add. 😎
