Several years ago, she was the closing act one night at Essence Fest, and annual summer fest held in New Orleans. She was scheduled to take the stage at 10:30 pm, but due to many factors, her show started at 4:30 am, before a crowd a hundreds. The biggest factor in the late start was apparently her indecisiveness as to whether she was actually going to perform. Has an artist ever had her career go from the height of success to complete ambivalence in such a short period of time?
