Thanks, Sal!

Billy Corgan's YouTube channel has a good Todd interview. Billy steps back for once and just lets his guest speak. Nice insight on Grand Funk's "Shinin' On" LP too.

So...my friend Ron Levy who had been BB's keyboard player. He had joined up with Luther and they were playing a local gig. Before their performance they came to my house for a homemade meal.
Luther picked up my guitar and gave me a tune - great night

This is a fascinating era of great music between Goldband and J D Miller recordings which have a more bluesy feel but a rich vein of american music for both. Are there any books, articles or documentaries about this time in southern music? There are several very good books about New Orleans' music.

Too cool for school. I once saw Levy in some sorta Blacktop Blues-a-Rama sort a thing and he was great, though Sam Meyers stole the show.

Ron was a good friend who crashed at my house in Maine when his band was in the area. Very self effacing...no big talk about BB
