On a Stones fan board, the general consensus is that the last 2 albums are basically a Mick/Andrew Watt collaboration. I happen to disagree. Watt is a different producer that Jimmy Miller and (thankfully) Don Was. And while Keith's role these days to basically "sprinkle fairy dust" to what Mick has presented it is still a band effort. And yes I think that DH and FT (and the new tracks like this one coming out) are the best since TY.
My biggest concern right now re; Stones is that Keith seems to have gone into hibernation. Outside of a few appearances to plug FT back in the Spring, he's been invisible while Mick and Ronnie are busy. I mean he didn't show up at the Buddy Guy 90th birthday concert and that was at Radio City a quick limo ride from his home in CT. I know he'll be 83 in 2 months so keeping my fingers crossed that he's OK.
I was a bit disappointed by Foreign Tongues. I thought Hackney Diamonds was far superior. The 2 bonus songs that have been released so far should have replaced some of the weaker songs on the album proper. They are 2 of my favorite from the whole batch.
