Vote early and often. No music tomorrow. Too stressed out to listen to anything. I'll be glad if it's not some disaster. I can't imagine Christmas coming early, but here's hoping.
Re SOTD: Was doing yardwork yesterday and my neighbor was blasting 80s hits. This song was on and I couldn't for the life of me remember who it was. It finally hit me and it got me reflecting on how talented Dan Hartman was and how tragic his early death was. Check out "Queen of My Dreams" from Edgar Winter Group's "Shock Treatment" album.
Looking at everything from afar, I firmly believe the dens will at a minimum, retake the House, and hopefully the Senate, too. But, I think that the greatest moments of fear for democracy will be if that does occur, and what Trump and Maga do between now and early Jan when the new Congress is supposed to be seated.
Voted a week ago. Fingers crossed. Can't believe that starting tomorrow I'll be relieved to be assaulted with the usual ads for pharma and insurance companies instead of political attack ads.
Saw Dirty Three last night for the 3rd or 4th time. The odd thing is tht they didn't play one song that they included at all the previous gigs, Everything's Fucked. Perhaps that is a good sign. https://dirtythree.bandcamp.com/track/everythings-fucked

ReplyDeleteI think tomorrow will be great. Now, Wednesday, that's a different matter.

The song right after "Queen Of My Dreams," "Maybe Someday You'll Call My Name" is another Hartman winner.
DeleteFor real, please vote!
ReplyDeleteAlready dropped off my ballot. I'm so sick and tired of him, his administration, and his supporters.
ReplyDeleteGet up, stand up
