New. McCartney.

  1. It leapt right out of the box thanks to all that modern compression.
I don't know what it's about, but the tune is good and Paul is in fine form.
    I like it.

  2. I like it. Very poppy.

I am now more optimistic for the album.

  3. Not sure if this is a song that will really crawl into my heart and connect with all the other great McCartney songs I love so much. You never know after one listen.

But holy shit, that melody. I was humming the chorus about halfway through its first go-round, and just check the chord progression going on beneath it.

I wish he'd write more lyrics that weren't me/you love songs, though.

  4. It has a sort of "Penny Lane" vibe to it, but the lyrics are "eh."

Still, Paul sounds happy, so I am, too.

  5. I love the coda. Sounds like he's channeling the Association.

What's not to like? Even clocks in just under 3 minutes like a classic pop song should. Thumbs up!

  8. I love this tune. It feels like it could have been a bridge single from MMT to The White Album. Lyrics are not bothering me.

  9. I keep listening and it keeps getting better. Really among his best ever. Can't wait. My hopes are high for the rest of the album.
Would love to hear Cheap Trick cover this.
