I Don't Hate Mondays

  1. Hadn't heard Nigel Hall before. He can sing! Cleary as solid as always.

As for the Another Brick cover, I like the use of the groove of Rikki Don't Lose That Number.

PS If you haven't checked out the new one from Iggy, Every Loser, do so soon. It rocks.

  2. @Paul In DK,
My Iggy record arrives on Wednesday. Looking forward to it.

And you know, Fagen nicked the groove for Rikki from Horace Silver's "Song For My Father."

  3. Nigel Hall released a great first album, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Nigel Hall." His follow-up (and most recent) went in a completely different direction and lost me. When both are in NO, Nigel will frequently sit in with Cleary (and the first lp is reflective of that style).
BTW - there was a fundraiser in NO for the family of legendary blues musician, Walter Wolfman Washington. It was filmed, and you can catch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xsqeEV2gJQ&t=3368s

Quality is superb, as are the musicians: Tin Men; Krown-Ricci trio, Leo Nocentelli, Cleary, Roadmasters with Christian Duque.
