Messed Around- Squeeze Gawd Above- John Fullbright Sookie Sookie- Tina Britt Obsessed With Aretha- Graham Parker Forbidden City- Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros The Sunny Side Of The Street- The Pogues Blessed- Lucinda Williams
Sal, you just made my day - Acid Bubblegum has always been one of my favorite GP albums, so when I saw the Aretha song, I went to Discogs just on the off-chance that maybe over the years, it had been given a vinyl release, and sure nuff, it happened last year! And, BUBBLEGUM COLORED VINYL to boot!!
Truth be told, i've had about enough of the colored vinyl, but that's another discussion.
Always good to squeeze in a Squeeze tune. And that Parker track from the lean period he went through in the 90s, nice one. Plus perfectly positioned placement of the song titles "Messed..", "Obsessed..." and "Blessed..." - that says it all. Thanks & cheers!
Nice set as always. Glad you're still listening to John Fullbright, tho Gawd Above's nowhere near my favorite on that amazing first album.
ReplyDeleteWow, I've got six of them ... a record (sic). Joe in Dublin. (it's Tina Britt)
