  1. The Velvet Underground did record a version of Andy's Chest, didn't they ? It's remarkable how Lou Reed often early on wrote a cluster of songs he recorded on his later albums. His acoustic demos album proves in '71 he had already written songs later ending up on both Transformer and Berlin albums whereas his first solo LP is full of songs he had already recorded with VU which early versions resurfaced on later comps (or bootlegs).
    The same can be said of Pete Townsend who for a long time used "leftover" Lifehouse songs on his later projects with or without the Who.

  2. I enjoyed all of these tunes, except for Shoes (the vocals put me off). Beagle and today’s cover are both better than expected.
