  2. Beautiful! I wasn't familiar with the song that went back to the original Pogues recording. Love that one as well. They both have very similar arrangements but very different feels. Bruce's version sounds like a guy alone in his apartment looking at the window into the night bemoaning his lost love where The Pogues version sounds like a guy, drinking in a pub talking to his ex and resigned to his fate

  3. To me 'The Version' is the one on the Single by Shane MacGowan / Nick Cave (What a Wonderful World). Nick do that, Shane returns the favor with an heart wrenching version of Lucy. 'The Boss' = rich guy who acts sad; Shane = sick POETRY

  5. Haven't heard the tribute album and hope the profits go to his family.
    Shane had that kind of a Tom Waits voice drunk in a Boston beer and a shot bar surrounded by fireman.
    While I appreciate the Homage, in this case I rather listen to his, done without prettyness, voice
