"THE FEST COMPANION" : The Weekend Mix

My Dear Woodsters,

It's only fair that I warn you, come next week and for almost two weeks, blogging will be coming to you from the great city of New Orleans. For two weeks, BURNING WOOD will change its format just slightly as it keeps you up to date on the 40th Anniversary of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. I'll be posting photos, live music reviews from both the Fairgrounds and the evening festivities, and audio when I can get it. I might even treat (read: bore) you with pics and comments of all the great food to be had.

"If It's Tuesday, It Must Be Street Date" will still post on Tuesdays, but for the next 2 Tuesdays, it will be truncated. In other words, the "snark" may be minimal. (I lose the "snark" when I am in New Orleans.)

Thanks for your patience and for your loyalty. In the meantime, here is a little "Fest Companion" WEEKEND MIX, for all of you, especially if you are headed to the Crescent City.
