I loved Les Paul & thank God I was able to see him recently....influenced many of " Burning Woods' " creepy bands, & many of my " roots " musicians....
I grew up with my Mom listening to WNEW-AM. I have always remembered hearing "Beyond the Blue Horizon". It wasn't until much later that I learned how she did that sound with her voice, multi tracking which Les also made popular. Funny how the Brits seemed to latch on to the crunch of the Les Paul, while the Americans more favored the Fender.
