A Thing Called "VH-1 Duets"

Does anyone remember "VH-1 Duets?" I barely do, but yet I found a DAT...yes, a DAT, that had the audio from the John Hiatt & Matthew Sweet episode. (Honest, I don't remember this at all, not the show or my DAT player.)

Enjoy a very spirited "Thing Called Love" featuring a svelte Matthew Sweet.

Svelte? Compared to how looks recently, he's Audrey Hepburn in "The Nuns Story."

Dats a fine duet Sal, as fine as John Hiatt's new CD, " The Open Road ".

I heard a rumor that Matthew Sweet was pulling a Deniro, preparing for his role as "the bass player" in the upcoming Atlanta Rhythm Section bio pic.

Never heard of " Duets" although the show should've been called "Chorus High Harmony" It kicked ass, but hardly a duet. ANd I agree with meanstreets. The Open Road is mighty fine.

I loves me some John Hiatt, and "A Thing Called Love" is a favorite.

I'm not a musician, but it seemed to me our hirsute lead guitar player never seemed to find the groove, and sort of heavily added the fills he wanted rather than to fit the song. Was he auditioning?
