Ronnie James Dio, R.I.P.

LOS ANGELES - Ronnie James Dio, the metal god who replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath and later piloted the bands Heaven & Hell and Dio, has died, according to his wife and manager. He was 67.

The man had pipes! Very sad.

I'm listening to Man On The Silver Mountain by Rainbow right now. Good heavy rock voice. It's a wonder he could still sing in his early mid sixties before he got sick. He was kind of looking like the crypt-keeper though.

Great shot of the "horns". I think every Italian in brooklyn had a relative that would give people the "horns" for bad luck. Not sure if many people understood the origin of what he was doing.

He will be missed.
