I'm thankful for Burning Wood, Sal. Thanks for all the time and effort ( and blood and sweat) you put into this site. Now if you could just do something about your attitude...
What's with the attitude?
Seriously -- couldn't you have done something special for the occasion?:-)
Thanks Sal, for all the good stuff and the attitude. You do enough.
That was quite the bountiful spread, Sal, and thanks for inviting Mr. Wesley to the table.Five years ago, Eva came over from Sweden for the holidays. On Thanksgiving, she, my son Devin and I go over to son Matt's house for Eva's first traditional holiday dinner. Jessica, Matt's significant other, does it all, turkey, spuds, we passed the peas, stuffing, gravy, pies, all done like Martha Stewart had catered. Jessica is the best at that.Later, after the carcass was left on the table, and the remnants of football on the screen, I asked Eva what she thought of her first American Thanksgiving Dinner? She didn't like it so much because there was so much food, "I am so full, I ate too much," she said, and let's face it...eating with my hoard is an acquired taste. It all really was pretty alien to her. After listening with empathy and attention to her lament, of course, there was only one thing I could say in response:"What's with the attitude?"
