Awesome. Opening up a Mother's Day "tribute" with "Tie Your Mother Down"!

That's rock and roll!

Looks like a great bonus mix, but even more thanks for the song of the day. I've been on a Zevon kick of late (not that I'm ever really not).

Are you familiar with the Brooklyn Flea Record Fair next weekend? Would a Burning Wood fan enjoy it or is she being misled by a well meaning 23 year old who's musical taste is more Beach House, Of Montreal, Arcade Fire and Little Wayne?

Not the Mother's of Invention, but it'll work . . . judging by the coat on fedora man -- it must be February, ergo no line at Mothers!
(Muthazippa -- great name for a band also too!)
Happy Mother's Day to you and your mom Sal!

Would "It's a Motherf****r" be inappropriate?

Happy Mother's Day Roseanne!

I've only been to the Brooklyn Flea once, and there were only 3 LP vendors and none of them were very exciting. Is this called the "Record Fair" because they'll be more?

I first heard "Hit Somebody" in your store... how long ago, I couldn't say. I have taught it as an epic poem to many classes of middle school students. They get it and they pass, or they don't...

re: Brooklyn Flea: yes, in their words "the cream of the crop of NYC indie record labels, DJs, and vintage dealers to create a manageable melange of 25 or so vendors" which they are doing based on the popularity of their fall "Superstar DJ Record Fair". I feel safe in feeling if it was something I'd like, you'd know about it.

@Elizabeth.

I just looked it up. It could go either way. There is always the possibility of finding a gem. Problem is these days, everyone thinks everything is a gem. If it's easy enough to get to, you might as well.
