"BW's Holiday Countdown" : THE WEEKEND MIX(ES)

I am reporting from high atop the Bugarach Peak in the southern part of France, as I await the Carcasonne Savior Aliens to deliver me to safety. Wi-Fi is surprisingly good.

~heh~

Well it looks like my early Christmas gift of pain and phlegm has finally made its way out of my system. I'm not 100% by any stretch. But considering how horrible I've felt since Monday, this morning feels pretty good. Just in time to get hit by an asteroid...he says, as 65 MPH winds and teeming rain batter NYC.

~double heh~

As promised, here are two more collections of music for your holiday. Apologies in advance to those who'd rather not stray from traditional Christmas playlists.  I do enjoy Christmas music, but there are songs that evoke a certain spirit for me that often seem more appropriate than just another take on "Silver Bells." Here's hoping you give these two mixes a fair go and that they work for you as well as they work for me.

There is one additional track on #2. A personal fave. I've chosen not to list it for a very good reason. Sorry. I can say no more.

Enjoy!

Three mixes! I am eternally grateful . . . or I am grateful until the next time I need a block of tunes. Super Bowl mix? V-Day mix?!?
Thank you!

Thanks for the Christmas mixes. I believe these will certainly do the trick as I prepare for the end of days - on the plus side: finally, procrastinating on my Christmas shopping will pay off. Happy to hear you're feeling better. Merry Christmas! Cheers.

Okay ... how did I manage to catch your cold over the internet? I feel for you Sal!

Excellent mixes. And now I'm intrigued with the mystery track. Whatever the reason it is a great song and she is a huge talent!

Take your vitamins ... wash your hands ... have a great weekend!

Thanks, Sal, & glad you're feeling better.

I love Los Lobos, but I didn't think even they could make me enjoy Zip-A-De-Doo-Dah that much. I could never bring myself to buy their Disney album. Perhaps I should rethink.

These are fantastic mixes, Sal! Perfect for this or any other time of the year. Already listened to both...twice. I forgot how great that Firemen (McCartney) track was, and "Avalon" was enough to convince me you're probably right about the new Bryan Ferry album.

Wishing you and yours a very merry.
