Tilda Swinton is chameleon, though looking at the world through facets only she knows. Bowie gets closer to the white prince, albeit blasé about the world he lives-to him "is there nothing new?"As to the song, I have no idea what he is talking about but, lately, that's not news.
I was predisposed to like it. I couldn't imagine Bowie coming back with anything terrible.I liked it and my expectations were exceeded. That's cool.He got me right at the beginning when he dropped a couple big chords, and then nothing for awhile to let it really sink in. It's all good from there.
Not initially impressed with the lyrics, but a good guitar groove. He's still the man.
I haven't paid attention to Bowie since Tin Machine, but I really like these first two tracks I've heard from The Next Day. I like the first track released (Where Are We Now?) a bit more than this, but this is cool too!
