I heard more than one person refer to Jake Bugg as '"the new Dylan," or maybe it was "the new, new Dylan."
Mojo mag says this about his debut:
"it variously suggested Buddy Holly, Mike Skinner, The La's and a one-man Simon & Garfunkel."
That seems more accurate. It doesn't matter really because Jake Bugg's 2012 debut is strong. The track posted above isn't necessarily the most interesting on the record, but it is the one the jumped right out at me and the one that sounds most like The La's.

Even better than the 17 year old over at Power Pop. Not only did I experience the whole thing, I think I'll watch it again. Great tune.
I'm a step behind BBJ, but have the same opinion. Nice to see two terrific songs from young 'uns, both with a real pov.
I`ve had this for awhile. It`s ok, IMHO. Impressive for his age, though.
I like it and thanks as usual for the exposure but I certainly don't get the new dylan comment either. go figa
right on the money sal....
