That Time Of Year, Damnit!

As if the every day pressures of say June or September for example aren't enough, now comes the inevitable "holiday season." I refuse to let it take me down. Not the relentless spinning of "Deck The Halls," nor the "violent and deadly winter storms," nor the "special Christmas episode" of "The Big Bang Theory" will keep my spirits from shining brightly.

And if you believe that, I've got a small piece of land in Bergen County I'd like to sell.

But, there is light at the end of the tunnel.  Howzabout a new Bruce Springsteen record on January 14th?

Here's the entire High Hopes album tracklist:
1. High Hopes
2. Harry's Place
3. American Skin (41 Shots)
4. Just Like Fire Would
5. Down In The Hole
6. Heaven's Wall
7. Frankie Fell In Love
8. This Is Your Sword
9. Hunter Of Invisible Game
10. The Ghost of Tom Joad
11.The Wall
12. Dream Baby Dream

Posting will be a tad lighter starting today, as I prep the year-end list of what I think are the "BEST" records of 2013.

I invite all of you to do the same.

Post your Top Ten, Top Five, Top Three or one Favorite Record of 2013 in the comments of this post. Commentary is encouraged but not mandatory. I won't publish the lists here, but as posts over the next few weeks.

Happy Holidays, Burning Woodsters!

It begins NOW!

As much as I love Bruce he kind of loses me sometimes. That High Hopes tracks is...well blah. The Bruce and Rageagainstestreet band sound doesn't work for me. It's been up and down for me. Magic and Wrecking Ball were great, WOAD and I suspect HH not so much.

John Moreland (In The Throes) has made the Bruce album that I kind of hope that Bruce makes if that makes sense.
