Some of his bass runs on Cream's live stuff has got to be heard to be believed, including the shows the reunited band did a few years back, and he was a fine songwriter to boot. RIP.
I went through a discovery and short love for Cream in college when I discovered good music. While I quickly moved beyond this band, I've always understood the impact and importance of Jack Bruce's playing on the course of rock music history. It's indelible and irreplaceable. This is a huge loss for lovers of classic music.

I just read about this. I was such a big fan of his bass playing and that voice. Man, what a voice. I'm pretty much in shock over his passing.

I saw him once live on stage with the legendary Cream.
May he rest in peace.
Fly high and free, Jack Bruce. God, that voice and bass. Thanks for posting this, one of my favorites.

Might be time to watch "Beware Mr Baker" again.
