"I learned long ago never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.
-George Bernard Shaw

There is a lot of really stupid, stupid shit online. Some of it is impossible to avoid. I cannot wrap my head around the absolute garbage that people get away with on Facebook.

That being said, I am grateful for the respect that is shown on these pages.

Music tomorrow.

Rest In Peace, Joe.

GBS gave us some great quotes, of which the piggy one is not at all bad . Joe Cocker gave us some of the best vocals for 4 decades or so. First encountered Mr Cocker around the time I was first encountering girls at Woodstock (the film of, not the actual gig) in those long, far off hippyish days. I echo your sentiments: RIP Joe.

And peace to all Burnin' Wood-ee's

Actually I always thought you were just another wind bag internet asshole with no real knowledge of music and shitty taste ( I mean really Todd Rundgren ad nauseum). But hey have a Merry Christmas and a really really Happy New Year. Love ya don't change a thing.

We live in a goofy world.

And if you thought music brought out the worst in people ...

A friend of mine writes the bird watching column for the local paper (long story) and on one of his birding expeditions he ran into a famous Canadian novelist. He snapped her picture and posted it on his blog -- a picture of a little old lady wearing a goofy hat with binoculars around her neck. And the haters went nuts on her, her work, her politics, ... -- IN A FREAKING BIRD WATCHING BLOG!

So haters gunna hate. We like it here!

Thanks Sal.

Jayessemm,

It's not the music posts I'm talking about on Facebook. I can handle those. It's everything else. Such hate, all the time.

Thank you, Sal! The passion and knowledge for the music helps make our lives that much happier. Happy holidays to you.
Man, losing Joe yesterday has been another blow to us all. Fired up "Motel Shot" just to hear him belting it out at the piano with Delaney and the friends. Ugh...
