THE WEEKEND MIX: Burning Wood's "Odds & Sods"

Now hold on! Most of these tunes are not what they appear to be. With the exception of both The Who and Pink Floyd tracks, none of these versions are the versions most are familiar with.  I could tell you the differences but I think it would be more fun if you went in and discovered the differences yourself. (Plus, I'm lazy and don't feel like typing it all out.)

There are some alternate versions, early takes, and alternate mixes. I dig'em all.

And speaking of "early takes," that photo above is apparently the original idea for the "Who's Next" album cover, if you believe what you read on the interwebs.

The Turtles' track makes it sound like Gary Lewis & The Playboys...

I'm lucky enough to be on a 3 day weekend where there's plenty of hiking & rambling (verbal as well as physical) so this mix is going down a treat. I've always preferred the Wings song with Bonzo (as I never knew him to call him thus) giving it some welly on the skins. Good songs. Good mix. Good job. It's all good! Thanks a ton.
