"And That's That: Ziggy At The BBC": THE WEEKEND MIX

What we have here are 13 songs David Bowie & The Spiders From Mars recorded for the BBC over the course of 9 months in 1972. The songs are not chronological. The sequencing should be clear.

This has been a tough week for many.  I thought I'd finish up with how it really all began. The band is raw. There is something special here. Even "Changes" has balls. But taking a cue from Ziggy himself,  where he is famously called it day on the last show of the tour, and then of course came back, I will say, this is all...for now.

Five Years
Moonage Daydream
Changes
Starman
Waiting For My Man
John, I'm Only Dancing
Lady Stardust
Hang Onto Yourself
Queen Bitch
White Light, White Heat
Ziggy Stardust
Suffragette City

Wow. Nice finish to the week - knew this was going to be a bang-up!
"Hey that's far out - so you heard him too . . ."

This is just Great! 44 years later and still kickin' ass! Thank's for the choice...I know it was a tough one.

This band rocked live with the best of them. I've got the Santa Monica show right here. The BBC is tighter and more muscular sounding. "Live" in the studio. Best take of two.

Nice! Looking forward to hearing this, in this period of Bowie-mourning.

I've been dragging out my old Bowie bootlegs like this BBC material. Good stuff which I will never tire of hearing. Thanks for the post

NO Eric. The Pennebaker soundtrack is one London show. This is as stated, from various BBC performances.
