This man might have been an easy target, but it's hard to deny his talent. George Michael was a superstar and both "Faith" and "Listen Without Prejudice" remain two brilliant pop highlights from a very bleak musical period. And really, no one should die at 53.

Well said, Sal. Very well said.
Agreed. 2016 continues.
53 was way too young...
Amen!
This post is much in my thoughts since I read it.
53 indeed!
You show a deep musical generosity and a keen human kindness Sal. Thank you.
My to reaction upon hearing of his death was thinking of when I lived in Los Angeles just a few minutes from his encounter in the bathroom. That's when I began to laugh at him over the last two decades however based on the comments and his charitable contributions I was probably more than a bit harsh. If the worst thing he did was go into a bathroom in Beverly Hills and do the hokey pokey he's alright by me. who am I to judge as I've seen many bathrooms. Instead of going to the BBC and learning of the horrific news of the day I'm now returning to my roots at Burning Wood for a smile and some tunes.
Though it had been some 20 years since George Michael released a good album, he was so young I kept hoping he'd re-discover his mojo. Unquestionably so much unfulfilled potential (one imagines) but when you can deliver one greatest hits album (Wham!) and two solo albums chock full of great singles, by god that's enough to live forever.
