The John Sally Ride- A New Set Of Downs

In January of 2016, I went into the studio with my friend and one of my very favorite bass players Sal Maida, to begin recording the songs of our friend and one of my favorite songwriters, John Dunbar. It didn't take long for the three of us to realize something wonderful was happening.

Today, the result of those sessions gets an official release. I am beyond excited about "A New Set Of Downs," our first record as The John Sally Ride.

It is available digitally HERE on Bandcamp, with iTunes, Amazon and Spotify to follow soon after. CDs and limited run vinyl will be available in early spring.

Sal Nunziato- Drums, Percussion and Backing Vocals
Sal Maida- Bass
John Dunbar- Vocals, Guitars and Keyboards

This is so exciting! Congratulations! I love the harmonies and the lyrics are different and interesting ("somnambulist!") I will be humming these tunes for a long time. Looking forward to the vinyl--and a live performance!

The sound is really good. I'm currently digging "I Didn't Know I was Saying Goodbye".

Way to go, Sal! Just listened to the album and delighted to say it sounds great! I'm kinda partial to a tight rhythm section anyway, so I may be a trifle biased. Worth the wait and let us know when the tour kicks off. Ride On, baby!

I have a friend named John and his mate's name is Sally.

Guess what he's getting for his birthday!

Really good album of which you would be extremely proud. Just finished listening from start to finish and there are so many highs - the playing, arrangements, mix etc are all spot on. Everything just sounds 'right'. There's a cohesiveness to the sound that really services the songs extremely well.. Enjoy and bask. You deserve it.
