Please enjoy, even 1/5 as much as I am enjoying, the brilliant reimagining of Maxine Nightingale's 70's AM hit, "Right Back Where We Started From" by the Chandler Travis Philharmonic. You might remember Travis as a founding member of The Incredible Casuals, which also included Johnny Spampinato, brother of NRBQ's Joey. The Casuals have been described as "The Beach Boys meet The Who." This cover, on the other hand, sounds like neither.

I hope Maxine Nightingale hunts them all down and strangles them with banjo strings!

How ya liking the new Richard Thompson?

I'm very much enjoying this song and the positive-vibe Wednesdays here at Burning Wood.
Admittedly great fun, well worth twerking to around the living room, and as the saying goes, is not imitation the sincerest form of flattery? Anyway, the Maxine Nightingale version is a stone cold classic. Cheers!
Actually quite good. A nice different take.
I like the "Judy in Disguise" riff from the horns.
I loved this the moment I heard it. Chandler Travis is also a founder of The Catbirds, whom I also dig. Thanks for posting, Sal.
