"This Won't Take But A Minute Or Two": THE WEEKEND MIX

This was a bitch! But I like the way it came out. No song over 1:59. Many of your suggestions are here, rounded out by many of my favorites. Think it's difficult sequencing 15 songs? Try sequencing 47. I hope a few of you appreciate that part of it. A few artists are represented more than once. Oh well.

Now dig in, a little at a time.

Very fun mix! That's what I get for not visiting Burnwood every single day -- I didn't get to make suggestions. You showed great discipline by not simply tossing in six or so Costello songs from "Get Happy." For technical reasons, I duplicate your playlists on Spotify rather than downloading. Completely unnecessary but fascinating fact -- the tracks NOT on Spotify: "Star Spangled Banner" by the Posies, "Shirley" by John Fred & His Playboy Band, "Standin' On The Corner" by Dorothy Berry, "So Much Better" by the candy Butchers, "Can't Wait To Kiss You" by NRBQ (though it seems like a lot of their music is on Spotify, perhaps this is a B side or some obscurity or I just missed it). My mind immediately went to the Beach Boys and "Be Still" and then Randy Newman, who has a lot of great short songs like "Dayton, Ohio 1903" and "Simon Smith and the Amazing Dancing Bear" and "He Gives Us All His Love" and then jokey, Tom Lehrer-ish don't-let-Trump-listen-to-this-because-it-might-give-him-ideas "Political Science." And that's just on the album Sail Away!

Absolutely killer. If you don't like one the next will be there in a jiffy. Great for short attention spans like mine. Thanks for this EPIC Mix.

Yow! Sequencing 20-25 songs is hard enough, I'm surprised you got this one done so quickly! Thanks, it should be a great listen!
