thanks, Sal, keep them coming! I've never heard the original Little Richard version. it's like it was written for Delaney & Bonnie. I picked up a copy of Bonnie's "Memories," which I know I passed over in the 70's, last week for a few bucks. wotta voice.

I've yet to hear a song done by Little Richard that somebody did better, even after the master was influenced by his followers. None of the others in this post were bad, tho.

1. Little Richard - this one swings; the rhythm section nails it
2. Jeff Beck - best playing and production for the UK versions
3. Delaney and Bonnie - not bad, but the arrangement is too busy
4. Rod Stewart - stiff drumming, poor production
