I will be on a vinyl shopping road trip this weekend and so I will be a little distracted getting prepped. Your "Songs Of The Week" will appear tomorrow instead of Sunday. And for all of you vinyl lovers, I would begin checking my Discogs shop today, as I have already started listing some heavy hitters, with more to come on my return. Click on that Records For Sale link on the right or on the hot link in this paragraph. Go shopping! Like I always say, "Record money for records," so load up your cart now, and I'll bring more back on Sunday.
Until then, a gentle reminder that The John Sally Ride's new release is available digitally with CDs available to preorder right now. You can hear it (and I really think you should) on Bandcamp, Spotify, Amazon and YouTube.
I'll get you started with one of my favorite tracks, "I Never Understood (Where I Stood With You)." I could have played this groove with Sal Maida for an hour.

My favorite on the album. Great tune.
I got the John Sally Ride album on Bandcamp and love it. Dig in folks, you'll love it too!
I WANT A CD!
Dumb "I'm not a drummer" question: what are you percussing on in the second verse of "Now Is Not A Great Time"? Fifth time around on the album and loving it. P.S. The cover makes me laugh every time.
