Who Wrote It?

Please enjoy Robb Storme & The Whispers and their minor 1965 northern soul hit "Where Is My Girl," which Pete Townshend liked enough to pilfer for The Who classic "Substitute."

I hadn't heard this song prior to this week and I kind of dig it.

Fantastic! Sal, I've got about twenty of your past mixes on my PC, but I don't have a Northern Soul mix - how 'bout one?

Hmmmmmmm....

Sure sounds like Townshend might have heard the song before writing "Substitute". If he did, he took the best part to use.
