Been A Long Time, Been A Long Time...

My pal Whattawino called me last night and said, "I am sure you have seen this before, but I hadn't."

I hadn't, and maybe you haven't either.

So, here they are.

Guaranteed to make you feel a lot better than Adele's sobbing Tweet.

First of all THANK YOU !!!!!!
Didn't know this was out on the ethernet.
Secondly, best 15 minutes spent in my pajamas on a Monday morning ever.
Thirdly, don't you think both Grohl and Taylor Hawkins both wanted to play drums with Zeppelin so that's why they each took a song.
Fourthly, the fucking bass sound was monstrously good.
Fifthly, So what that the vocals weren't Robert Plant great, it rock and rolled hard.
And Sixthly, Thanks again for the best Monday morning in a long time. Now I've got to watch it all over again.
P
ps. and as always that's why these guys are a class act. They don't tour every time they need some shekels, with pseudo members or bring out current pop stars to appear relevant. Ergo when they do play it counts and means something. CLASS ACT

One more thing don't you think Grohl, no matter what your opinion of him, does sorta what Bruce did 40/50 (has it been that long) earlier did in paying tribute and jamming with his hero's. I do.

I remember watching this whole show a few years ago on MTV Live or AXS-TV. The crowd went nuts when Grohl introduced Page/Jones to the stage.

Can't believe I've never seen the Foos live. That will be rectified this summer when I see them at Citi Field.

Thanks Sal
I hadn't seen this before and it rocked. What a great wake up. This and my cup of coffee has got me ready for my day. Maybe Jimmy and John should do a Led Zep tribute show with a few guest singers rotating thru the catalog. I'd pay for that.

JPJ's bassline on "Ramble On" has long been my biggest influence when playing one.
