The great C.C. Adcock, one of my go-to guys in New Orleans and the man behind Tommy McLain's excellent comeback record "I Ran Down Every Dream," just played a few gigs in England with Tommy, Nick Lowe and a few special guests at the pub, including Robert Plant, who has been a huge supporter of all things C.C. for years. C.C. posted some photos and casually dropped the news that an expanded Honeydrippers boxed set is imminent, and it will include the Lil' Band O' Gold tracks recorded with Mr. Plant for their Fats Domino tribute record.
The Honeydrippers and the LBOG record were many years apart, so I wonder if the extra stuff on the box is going to be various cameos made by Plant over the years, which would be an interesting theme, but an odd way to celebrate an E.P. from the 80's made with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Brian Setzer.
I'd much prefer a Lil' Band' O Gold boxed set. The band's three releases are all fantastic and deserve some attention.
Until then, enjoy Robert, both in the studio and on stage, with C.C. Adcock and Lil' Band O' Gold.

That LBOG lp where they cover Fats is so good and so hard to find. Well worth the effort though.
his 2 solo albums should of made him a star
@Neal T
I couldn't agree more.
Thanks for the post, nice way to start a rainy day down here in Savannah. Know idea that Percy was involved with C.C. and LBOG. Thanks again
Anything with Richard Comeaux involved has my attention !
I would love to see a new Percy album produced by C.C.
