Thanks Sal! I was lucky enough to see the Who play acoustic last month at Festival Hall in London. The intro to Pinball Wizard is still as exciting as you say, even now and even acoustic. Loving this series.

Thanks for reminding me of that Ellington/Coltrane record. That LP has been sitting on the shelf way too long without spinning. What the hell was I thinking!!

So many great songs on this list. Just today was listening to Sandy Denny singing The Ballad of Easy Rider, and there are often moments when I could put it on a loop and listen to it over and over and over again. I don't think I could ever get tired of it.

Thank you kindly for the big zip job, a chance for me to cock an ear to songs and artists which in my usual state of blissful ignorance I've never listened to before (and perhaps some I won't ever again!). Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Cheers!

Bell Bottom Blues. What a song. the "highwater" mark of Clapton vocally in my opinion. Worth listening to Larkin Poe having a crack at it. Ages ago Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs did a good version too.

and more Sandy Denny Many thanks.

Looking forward to the next set!
