She nailed it. It would be funny if it weren't so true.

Yep! nailed it.

As Homer Simpson said "It's funny because it's true". And this comes from somebody that actually likes Taylor Swift.

I can't get that song out of my head now.
"Heading back to the CHORUS!"

Always wondered what I was missing.

If this was a couple of hundred decibels louder, this might as well have been coming out of my teenaged daughter's room...now, just make the lyrics, written by someone nearing their mid-thirties, about things that sixteen year-old girls fixate on instead of doing their homework...

I finally figured out why I don’t care for her music. But I’m gonna save the explanation for a blogpost on Monday.

How’s that for sneaky blogwhoring?😎

This was funny as hell. As Tinpot said, I too, don't know what I've been missing since I've never listened to a Taylor Swift song.

Not to swing back to TS again, but after I posted above I wanted to elaborate a bit rather than just pile on with the snark. Her last 4 albums (Folklore through TTPD) -- are essentially interchangeable to me in terms of the music. I don't deny that. TTPD (all 31 songs of it) came and went when I listened to it with few exceptions that drew in my ear as something interesting musically.

The music is really no longer the point with her albums. Reputation was the last one that did something interesting with the actual music. I'd listen to something like that new St. Vincent album if I wanted an interesting sonic experience -- not TS. TS is (for better or worse depending on how you feel about her songs) all about the lyrics now and the music is just a background for them (and probably almost always in the key of C...)
