I did something to my knee last Saturday. I don't remember exactly when it happened, maybe while moving 70 pound boxes of records around the garage, or possibly when I took in the summer umbrella from the backyard. The seven foot umbrella attaches to an impossibly heavy concrete slab that needs to be rolled. I can't lift it. Regardless of how it happened, my knee is killing me, mostly when I get up or sit down. It's fine when I am not moving, but I look like a member of the fife and drum corps when I walk.
In related news, here is a 77 year old Iggy Pop kicking ass in Montreux with a live version of a fave from "New Values," "Five Foot One." This is the first single from his new "Live At Montreux Jazz Festival" album due in January.
I do love Iggy with a horn section and I bet the version of "Fun House" will rock like a motherscratcher!

As much as I enjoy Iggy I think he's entered the stage in his life where he needs to keep his shirt on. Follow Mick's lead.
But good for Iggy here; sounds invigorated which something you can't say about a lot of 77 year old folks
I stubbed my toe and limped around like a veteran of the Somme for a week. I've never seen a reference to the walking wounded as a member of the drum and fife corp. Ha!
Speaking as somebody his age, I was relieved to see he's got something of a slight spare tire, if you know what I mean. Musically, however -- kicks ass. Thanks!!!
That was the kick in the ass I needed this morning!
I saw Iggy and band on this tour. By far the best rock 'n' roll performance I've seen. Looking forward to the full recording.
How is it that his voice still sounds as good as ever, when so many others sound as old as they are?

That rocks!! If I looked like that I'd put a shirt on it, but... I'm not 77 year old Iggy rockin' out stronger than Gen Z. Definitely inspirational!
Dude is not of this earth, it's that simple. Everybody talks about Ozzy and Keef bucking the odds, but you can tell they're tired when you watch them. Not Iggy.

Iggy is for fucking real. Killer. I loved that album even though the electric drum sound sucked.
Ozzy & Keef need a pet cockatoo.
I was gonna say that Mick is too scared to go shirtless onstage, and Iggy has made a career out of it (among other things.) Absofuckinglutely delightful !
