This could be your best, and a reflection of this site with its mix of heart and snark. I do have an amendment to Trump's take on my state: WASHINGTON DC Just So You Know Just so you know: They have a scumbag, and he turns my stomach. Like, think of a stink but multiply it by many thousands of times, the size of it, it's massive. And he's turned us back to the dark past. Why aren't they stopping him? C in California
Bravo. I thought maybe Hegseth's tattoos might make an appearance but I know it must be hard to edit things down to a reasonable length given the current insanity. And a salute to C in California for their inspired rewrite.
Excellent! Duke has the right idea, so do the cats. Of course they denounce the bishop who only asked the Bible salesman to follow the scriptures that he never read, and never will.
The funny ones are hilarious. The truthful ones are painful. And for the record, I quite like Maxwell's Silver Hammer. Like someone once said. If that was a Harry Nilsson song, it would be revered.
Amen to hpunch -- I too like Maxwell's Silver Hammer. And I'll go further and say I really like Obladi Oblada, and Octopus' Garden, another couple of Beatle songs often lamented, to boot. The former's punchy drumming/piano combo, catchiness, tribute to ska, and twisted (at the end) lyrics still delight me, and the latter has one of my favorite guitar solos in it, and considering George Harrison doesn't come to mind when I think of my fave guitarists, that's saying something (his best, in my opinion, is on his own sublime Something). I hadn't heard that quote about Nilsson, but boy whomever said it was on to something. C in California
I loved Maxwell's Silver Hammer when I was 12; these days, not so much. But like C in California, I will defend Octopus' Garden and Ob La Di, Ob La Da. I don't understand why the latter gets so much hate, while the unlistenable Wild Honey Pie -- hands down the worst thing the Fabs recorded -- seems to get a pass. (But I guess we've debated the White Album enough here already.) Marc

Sal thanks for keeping your sense of humour.
Thank you! Every one a winner.
a beacon of light in these dark days
Many good ones, but the Maxwell Silver Hammer piece is hilarious.
Another great dump... especially the cats.

Excellent.
Re: Day 5 Trump quote.
You know that over the next 4 years he'll say much dumber, non-sensical things and people will go, "Yeah".

Love the Woody meme. Yeah, Duke knew what musicians need!

Gotta listen to "Abbey Road" now.
Love that Duke quote. Thanks for lifting our spirits during these dump days.
