...for giving us Joe Johnson and Lazy Lester, and this absolute gem of a recording.
I have no other info on who the rest of the players might be, but Mr. Johnson is singing and Lazy Lester is blowing that harmonica, son.

Just what was needed this morning. Gérard Herzhaft on his Blue Eye blog lists the personnel as Joe Johnson, vcl; Guitar Grady, g; Katie Webster, kbds; Lazy Lester, hca; Sherman Webster, bs; dms. Crowley, La. 1966
I had a wonderful encounter with her when she, accompanied by just a pianist, was the opening act for Jerry Jeff Walker, at a show in NO in the early 80s. Place was packed with a bunch of wanna be cowboys who were in no mood to listen to Leigh, and the guy next to me kept loudly booing throughout every damn song. I asked him, somewhat politely, to STFU, but he persisted, so I gave him a final warning including what I was going to do, which prompted him to boo louder. I delivered on my promise, which led to both of us being evicted from the show. I headed over to a nearby bar, and about an hour later, Leigh and the pianist also pop up. She walked over to me and asked me if I was the guy who shut up the boo bird, and my drinks were comped the rest of the night. She was one hell of a force of nature. There are some otherwise unreleased recordings by her on bandcamp that are def worth exploring.

Thanks for that!
BTW, that "Caroline No" cover is wonderful. I saw Leigh Harris AKA Little Queenie a couple of times when they played NYC; Had a mad crush on her.

Sweet guitar, too.
Sweet tune and performance.
