In my life if anyone that told me they didn't like the Beatles I would stop talking to them and move on.

As I always say, anybody who professes not to like the Beatles is just being difficult. 😎

Gotta say when I was given the choice as a pre-teen, I chose the Stones. That said, there never was another Beatles, was there?

There have been points in my life where my preference was the Stones, too. But, the poignancy of the Beatles' music is unmatched by any artist of any genre. No one could have pulled off that Colbert finale like McCartney did with Hello Goodbye.

My brother was in a high school band with two guitarist/singers. One was a Beach Boys-Beatles fan, the other was into the Stones. Good news is that in 1965, they were covering all the bases.

If someone said that they hate The Beatles, I wouldn't waste my time asking for an explanation, or what bands they liked.

I posted the video because I really liked what he had to say about what he thinks about why Beatle haters hate the Beatles. (About what and why and that then...there.)

ARE there people who actually hate The Beatles? Or is it just cool to say that? I didn't know that none of them could read or write music. There's hope for me yet!

Many of the haters would be unaware that the bands they like were probably influenced by some aspect of what the Beatles created. There seems to be a lack of historical knowledge among these types. The lads played and absorbed many different styles of music (C&W, showtunes, pop music) and created something new, much like the haters' favourites who heard the Beatles, Stones, etc. and came up with their own thing.
