I wracked my brain to come up with some clever reason for posting this. The truth is, I watched "Rio Bravo" for the 20th time and caught myself grinning like a possum eating shit out of a light socket during this scene.
I am quite sure that if a full album existed of Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson duets with Walter Brennan on harmonica, it would be my favorite record ever.
Elvis said Dean Martin was his idol. You can really see that in this clip. And I'm not a fan of John Wayne, so I'm glad he didn't say anything to ruin it.
I thought this was great but in the movie itself it was ruined for me when right after the song is over, Ozzie shows up and tells Ricky he has to put his guitar away and do his homework.
This is one of those movies that I can't not watch when I see it is on. I like that both Dean and Ricky get chances to sing and that Wayne just lets them. Perhaps he thought that Nelson might bring more females into the theaters.
I was watching a Sopranos' episode tonight and Tony fixes a big bowl of ice cream with chocolate sauce and sits down, turns on the tv and it is Dean Martin singing in Rio Bravo! what a coincidence! Get yourself a gun. Only recent show I look forward to the opening credits and hearing that song.
love this movie...i just want to say that my good friend, the late, jeff meller, comic genius, would do long stretches of dialogue from the movie, impersonating the voices of every character to perfection...long live this movie and rest in peace, jeff.....

I see what you mean.
What the world needs is more Walter Brennan.
