2000 Light Years From Home- Rolling Stones
For all its flaws and missteps, "Their Satanic Majesties Request" has aged remarkably well, at least in my house. If only every song was as good this one.

Pictures Of Home- Deep Purple
I only just discovered that my cable provider offers AXS-TV, and I have been binge watching both The Ronnie Wood Show, which is exactly what I would want The Burning Wood Show to be,  and VH-1 Classic Albums, so a number of the tracks here are here because of those two shows. I was delighted to see Deep Purple discuss and create "Machine Head." Smart bunch of guys. I've loved this album forever but never loved "Pictures Of Home" as much as I do now, thanks to Jon Lord discussing Ian Paice's killer intro.

House Of Love- Page/Plant
Just a coincidence that the first three songs have "house" or "home" in the title. This one is from the far better than I remember it, 20 year old "Walking Into Clarksdale" release from Robert and Jimmy.

You're So Rude- Faces
Remnant of the Ronnie Wood/Ian McLagan episode of Ronnie's show.

For Yasgur's Farm- Mountain
This one came to me in a dream, just like "Yesterday" did for Paul McCartney, only this was already written, damn it.

Couldn't I Just Tell You- Todd Rundgren
Listened to Sides One and Three of "Something/Anything?" and this got the nod.

Bonjour Swansong- Renaissance
An 80's track from Annie Haslam and friends with a killer chorus.

Half Man Half Wrecking Ball-Umajets
I haven't thought about this band since the CD was released. I believe they were a Jellyfish side project. This one popped up on shuffle. Another great chorus.

A Little Piece Of Leather- Donnie Elbert
Ron Wood played this on his show. First time I heard it and it knocked me out like it knocked him out. Ronnie's commentary? "Can you believe it's a GUY?"

Far East Man- Ron Wood
Wood played this and explained how George Harrison was all over the track, but his label wouldn't allow it, so they turned him down in the mix and he is uncredited, but you can still hear him. It IS his song, so hard not to.

My Pledge Of Love- Joe Jeffrey Group
I was in a band called The Cool Jerks for about 5 years and we tried this one a few times but it just didn't take. I have no idea why I thought of that this week.

You're The Wish You Are I Had- XTC
iPod Shuffle.

Homework-Otis Rush
My three favorite Otis Rush tracks are on three different labels- Cobra, Chess and Duke. I was thrilled to discover a recently released collection on LP that covered all thee labels. This one is from 1962 on the Duke label.

Wouldn't You Like To Know Me- Paul Stanley
I know there are many Kiss haters out there, most never hearing more than a single or two. This Raspberries-inspired track from the terrific 1978 solo record, as our pal Shriner says, "Puts the power in power pop."

Just back in town after being away from my computer for two weeks and the first stop was of course BW. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do. This is a great looking set of music. Thanks Sal for making my readjustment back to civilization a little smoother.

Many thanks for the double sized zip. Some little crackers in there from start to finish. Cheers!
